The role delivers and supports the plan; it does not set it or negotiate with carriers on the airport's behalf.

Accountabilities

•Supports EMEA route development, delivering the day-to-day work behind the route-attraction plan — carrier research, candidate city-pairs and the case for each.
•Maintains the market case, keeping the demand, competitor and connectivity analysis for EMEA routes current and evidenced.
•Supports carrier engagement, preparing materials and coordinating meetings with airline network-planning and commercial teams alongside the Director.
•Leads the Specialist, EMEA Market, allocating work, managing performance and developing the route-development bench.
•Coordinates the network-planning cycle, tracking prospects from first engagement to launched service and keeping the pipeline current.
•Works with the incentive function on the economics of candidate routes and supports bilateral, slot and market-access matters, escalating decisions to the Director.

Qualifications, experience and skills

•Bachelor's degree in business, aviation management, economics or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
•Brings a minimum of 8 years' experience in aviation route or network development, airline commercial or airport commercial, including some experience of coordinating or supervising others.
•Has supported or delivered route-development or carrier-engagement activity, ideally across EMEA markets.
•Is strong in market, demand and competitor analysis and in maintaining a route pipeline.
•Applies good relationship-management, coordination and communication skills, with sound attention to detail.
•The EMEA route-attraction plan and priorities, and any carrier negotiation on the airport's behalf, are owned by the Director, EMEA Market; this role delivers to the plan and does not set it.
