Vacancy type: Non Technical
Minimum qualification: Bachelor
Minimum experience (years): 10
Job scope
•The Director, Airline Accounts & Revenue owns the airline as a commercial account and the aeronautical revenue it generates, combining carrier relationship and contract management with the tariff, charges, yield and revenue management on which the airline strategy rests. The role merges account management and revenue into a single directorate with a manager and specialist team, giving aeronautical revenue the senior ownership it previously lacked.
Accountabilities
•Owns the airline accounts, managing the commercial relationship, contracts, retention and total airport footprint of the carrier base and resolving commercial issues across the account.
•Owns aeronautical pricing and charges, setting and maintaining the aeronautical tariff — landing, parking, passenger and related charges — within regulatory and policy limits.
•Owns yield and revenue management, monitoring realised against forecast aeronautical revenue, optimising yield, and owning the revenue forecasting and airport-charge modelling.
•Administers airline incentives, running the airline-facing administration of connectivity incentives against the economics owned by Air-Incentive Economics.
•Builds the revenue capability, developing the revenue, forecasting and airport-charge specialists into a genuine aeronautical revenue-management function.
Qualifications, experience and skills
•Brings a minimum of 10 years in airline commercial, airport aeronautical revenue, or aviation pricing and yield, in senior roles.
•Has held direct accountability for tariff-setting, yield or revenue management in aviation or a comparable regulated-charge environment, with a defined scale.
•Has managed major carrier or major-customer commercial relationships and contracts, with named accounts and commercial outcomes.
•Has genuine analytical depth in revenue forecasting and modelling, with models or frameworks the candidate built or owned.
•Route development and carrier attraction are owned by the geographic directors (Asia; EMEA); this role manages and prices carriers once they are flying. Non-aeronautical and concession pricing are owned by Concession Pricing & Revenue Management (C2). Incentive economics and design are owned by Air-Incentive Economics (E1); this role administers airline incentives, it does not set the scheme. As an internal control, the aeronautical revenue methodology is subject to independent check by Commercial Assurance (D2), so the setter is not the sole approver.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, digital or a related discipline, or a professional qualification benchmarked at postgraduate level (RQF / EQF Level 7 or equivalent) — for example CIM Level 7 (Chartered Marketer).
