Job scope
The Director, Commercial Marketing, Loyalty & Digital grows commercial revenue through the passenger relationship and Oman Airports’ own digital channels — CRM, the loyalty programme, passenger engagement, retail campaigns, personalisation and digital commerce (the airport app, marketplace and click-and-collect). The role sells the airport’s own products; it does not sell advertising inventory, which is a separate business.
Accountabilities
• Owns the loyalty programme, designing, launching and running the commercial loyalty proposition and the CRM capability that supports it.
• Owns digital commerce, building and operating the digital commercial platform — app monetisation, marketplace, click-and-collect and the digital storefront — as a revenue channel.
• Drives retail campaigns, planning and delivering campaigns, promotions and activations that convert footfall and dwell into basket, with tenants and brand partners.
• Owns personalisation, using passenger data with the Commercial Intelligence Office to target offers and grow spend per passenger.
• Owns passenger commercial engagement across channels, distinct from the end-to-end passenger journey, which sits with Operations.
• Measures and reports, remaining accountable for digital and loyalty revenue contribution, campaign return and channel performance.
Qualifications, experience and skills
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, digital or a related discipline, or a professional qualification benchmarked at postgraduate level (RQF / EQF Level 7 or equivalent) — for example CIM Level 7 (Chartered Marketer).
• Brings a minimum of 10 years in commercial marketing or digital commerce, of which at least 4 years with direct revenue accountability for a digital channel or loyalty programme; brand or communications management alone does not qualify.
• Has held direct accountability for a loyalty programme or CRM platform — design, launch or run — with measurable member or revenue growth.
• Can evidence building or running a transactional digital channel — app, marketplace, e-commerce or click-and-collect — with its revenue or transaction volume.
• Has a track record of retail or consumer campaigns with a measured commercial return.
• Uses customer data and segmentation in practice to drive personalisation and offer targeting.
